{"id":5989,"date":"2015-11-04T21:30:46","date_gmt":"2015-11-05T05:30:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/?p=5989"},"modified":"2016-01-07T01:22:12","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T09:22:12","slug":"czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/","title":{"rendered":"#CZGTR77 SEMA Crunch and Debut"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"pntrst_main_before_after\"><\/div><p>Three short weeks ago, Coco Zurita\u2019s GTR made an appearance at RRE to get ready for SEMA.\u00a0 Since then, the car has been totally redone!\u00a0 Since it made the debut Tuesday at the SEMA Show, we\u2019re excited to finally release all the details.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/saw-rear\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6012\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/saw-rear.jpg\" alt=\"saw rear\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First, we started working on installing the Rocket Bunny widebody kit in the middle of October.\u00a0 Don\u2019t mind us, we\u2019re just taking a sawzall to a $100,000 car here.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/cut-front-fender\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5993\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/cut-front-fender.jpg\" alt=\"cut front fender\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yeah, that is wide.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/fit-rear-fende\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5996\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/fit-rear-fende.jpg\" alt=\"fit rear fende\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We continued to massage the body kit install for the next couple of days, before we were able to take a look at the fitment on the new rear wing and diffuser.\u00a0 Looking good so far, but the timeline was SHORT!\u00a0 At this point, we only had about two weeks until it was time to hit the road and get to the show.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/mounting\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6004\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/mounting.jpg\" alt=\"mounting\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The next day, we got to install the brand new Project Mu brake pads and rotors \u2013 if you\u2019re at the SEMA show this week, be sure to look at all the details on this build.\u00a0 Great sponsors really made this little details awesome.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/caalipers-mu-pads\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5992\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/caalipers-mu-pads.jpg\" alt=\"caalipers-mu pads\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/old-new\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6008\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/old-new.jpg\" alt=\"old-new\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0The GReddy titanium exhaust went on.\u00a0 It looks great, performs well, basically weighs nothing, and really sounds killer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/muffler.jpg\" alt=\"muffler\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We were waiting on more parts to show up, but in the meantime, Coco\u2019s sponsor Red Bull came through to keep us caffeinated.\u00a0 Long nights of SEMA prep start to take a serious toll.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/fridge\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5998\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/fridge.jpg\" alt=\"fridge\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Considering the timeline on this project, things were moving along great, but about this point in the build, we had to pick up the pace.\u00a0 With just a few days to go until it was time to leave for SEMA we found out that a vinyl wrap just wasn\u2019t going to happen.\u00a0 Plan B: time to paint. If any of you have painted a car (even a nice, reasonably new one), you know how much prep work is required.\u00a0 It was all hands on deck at this point.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/sanding-01\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6011\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/sanding-01.jpg\" alt=\"sanding-01\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0We test fit the brand new intake manifold, and thanks to another great GReddy product, had no issues.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We also got the new KW Coil Overs installed, and the car was seriously sitting pretty. Whiteline urethane\u00a0bushings, Whiteline sway bars finished out the suspension build.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/kw-coil-overs\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6001\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/kw-coil-overs.jpg\" alt=\"kw-coil overs\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Next, we got the Volk TE37s delivered in, and mounted a fresh set of Nitto NT01s.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/volk-etching-02\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6016\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/volk-etching-02.jpg\" alt=\"volk etching-02\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The interior went back in&#8230; NEw Sparco seats with custom insets, Sparco race 5 point belts and a 4 point roll bar powder coated to match to the intake manifold and calipers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/interior-togfether\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6000\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/interior-togfether.jpg\" alt=\"interior togfether\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Detailing got done, stickers went on, and it the CZGTR77 started to look like a real car again.<\/p>\n<p>Not much room to spare when all was said and done \u2013 just how we like it!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/czgtr77-sema-crunch-and-debut\/_1210209\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5990\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5990\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/1210209.jpg\" alt=\"_1210209\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" srcset=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/1210209.jpg 1200w, http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/1210209-150x84.jpg 150w, http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/1210209-300x168.jpg 300w, http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/1210209-1024x576.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Loaded and ready to go.
