MT90 is kind of thick for the Mitsubishi EVO and cold shifting was balky at times, MTL was a too little thin for the best protection but shifted well. Both have the correct additives for the synchros to work their best. So people would mix MT90 and MTL, Or they would mix MT90 and BG Synchroshift (the \u201cScot Grey Mix\u201d) \u00a0Redline saw all this going on and just came out with MT85 specifically for the Mitsubishi EVO transmission. 3 quarts is what you need to change the EVO transmission fluid. Either for maintenance or when doing a clutch change.
