Rob Tallini driving the RRE 4G GT Eclipse in the RTA at Auto Club Speedway"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"pntrst_main_before_after\"><\/div><p>July 20th, 2008- Road Race <a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/\">Engineering<\/a>\/<a href=\"http:\/\/roadracemotorsports.com\/\">Motorsports<\/a> finished 3rd in the FWD Class at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redlinetrackevents.com\/\">Redline Time Attack<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.autoclubspeedway.com\">Auto Club Speedway<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fontana.org\">Fontucky, CA<\/a>. This was the debut of the <a href=\"http:\/\/speedhunters.com\/archive\/tags\/eclipse\/default.aspx\">Road Race Mitsubishi Eclipse Time Attack Car<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=1475\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1475\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1475\" title=\"rregt-oval\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/rregt-oval.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>[This is a picture of Tallini driving really fast. Notice the\u00a0blurriness\u00a0of the background.]<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Road\/\/\/Race Eclipse competed against some of the finest FWD cars in US Time Attack. Robert Tallini managed to overcome some teething issues common on a newly built race car. Over the course of the day, each session proved to be better and better. Lap times fell consistently until the final lap in the final session where Tallini clocked his fastest lap of the day and secured 3rd place.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=1476\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1476\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1476\" title=\"rregt-readytorace\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/rregt-readytorace.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>[This is a picture of Tallini ordering lunch at the AAA diner drive through window near turn <a href=\"http:\/\/graphjam.files.wordpress.com\/2008\/11\/42.gif\">42<\/a>. \u00a0&#8220;The 3 rolled tacos with guacamole is particularly yummy&#8221; claimed Tallini who usually powers up on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xPsnLUaXyxE\">muffins<\/a> alone.]<\/p>\n<p>The RRE Eclipse finished behind some fully developed cars with had much more power and lighter chassis. \u00a0Also, the RRE car is running a stock Mitsubishi drivetrain, on 91 octane pump gas and R compound tires.
