Ok, the track is neither well-run nor<br \/>\nwell-maintained, but the company was great &amp; I really enjoyed the runs I<br \/>\ngot in.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Caravanning down from RRE was cool. About 9 cars. We managed to stay<br \/>\ntogether pretty well &amp; kept it around 80mph. It sure was fun watching how<br \/>\npeople looked at us &amp; listening to the comments when we were at the gas<br \/>\nstation. Hey, anyone up for practicing formations? We could have double<br \/>\nand triple lines, diamond formations (how fitting), etc! (Grin) Regarding<br \/>\nracing around for the last couple miles&#8230; Heyyyy I just wanted to make sure<br \/>\nmy boost was set right :)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Once our 8-9 cars made it there, our numbers were around 15+ cars &amp; 30<br \/>\npeople.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Timeslips&#8230; I hit the 12&#8217;s! (Yahooo!) I ran a 12.86 @ 105.04 and<br \/>\nthen a 12.85 @ 106 (best). This was the first time I was traction limited<br \/>\nwith an AWD&#8230; I was spinning all 4 tires off the line &amp; through much of<br \/>\n1st. Some of that was most likely from having dirt\/mud on the tires (good<br \/>\nol&#8217; Carlsbad). I think I can knock a couple more tenths off with a combo<br \/>\nof a better launch (I was doing 1.8 60-footers) and by leaning the fuel out<br \/>\nmore. With race gas, temps never got past 860 degrees Celcius, &amp; I woulda<br \/>\nliked to be near 900 as I crossed the 1\/4 mile line.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=711\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-711\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-711\" title=\"dc0017l_med\" src=\"http:\/\/roadraceengineering.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/1998\/01\/dc0017l_med.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"756\" height=\"504\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; BBQ&#8230; Very very nice! Mike Cornwell is the man when it comes to BBQ!<br \/>\n(He&#8217;s just a lamer when it comes to spelling my first name&#8230; You wonder why<br \/>\nI keep my last name as an &#8220;S&#8221;?
