EVO X Head Studs

Type

ARP Head Stud Kit – 207-4206

The stock head bolts need to be replaced every time the cylinder head comes off. Instead of using new stock bolts, we use these. All Pro Series ARP2000 studs are centerless ground, heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining, and are nominally rated at 220,000 psi. These fasteners deliver a 35% increase in tensile strength over the OEM torque-to-yield head bolts. ARP EVO X Pro Series head studs come with a an Allen Hex cut into the tip to allow them to be installed in the car if needed. They are now also machined with a “dog point” on the block side to better distribute the thread forces.

Features

  • ARP Pro Series
  • Tensile strength: 220,000 PSI
  • 25% increase in tensile strength over OEM head bolts

H11 Ultimate Duty Head Studs – EVOX-UDHS

$260

We use these stronger MAP H11 head studs for applications running 30 psi and up. These studs are manufactured exclusively by A1 Technologies and utilize an H11 material that is much stronger than the typical 8740 chromoly and yields a tensile strength of 260,000 psi. They are also provisioned with a hex broach on the top of the stud enabling you to install them with the cylinder head on the car if necessary. The MAP Ultimate Duty Head Studs include an additional feature known as a “dog point” that seats the stud in the block and preloads the fastener for an accurate and repeatable torque sequence.

Important Note: This material is easily contaminated and subject to stress corrosion. They must be kept well oiled and cannot be exposed to moisture. Handle with gloves only.

Features

  • Sturdy H11 tool steel material
  • Tensile strength: 260,00 PSI
  • Hex broach for easy install
  • Torque up to 95 ft/lb with lube

EVO X Main Stud Kits

ARP Main Studs –  207-5403

Type

Part of any short block rebuild. Anytime that the bottom end gets rebuilt you need to change the main studs. Main studs hold the crankshaft main bearings securely in place. When the block is at the machine shop the new main studs get installed and then the crank shaft bore gets line honed to correct for any misalignment.

ARP main studs are manufactured from 8740 chrome moly steel, heat-treated in-house to 200,000 psi tensile strength, and precision J-form threads rolled after heat-treating. Part No. 207-5403 includes a set of ten, M10 ARP2000 main studs, a set of ten, M8 ARP2000 main studs, twenty 8740 chromemoly steel 12 pt nuts and a 1/2 oz. pack of ARP Ultra-Torque fastener assembly lubricant. All Pro Series ARP2000 studs are nominally rated at 220,000 psi. These fasteners deliver a 50% increase in tensile strength over the OEM main bolts.
