RRE EVO X Fluids
Redline 20W50 Synthetic Motor Oil
We are in So Cal here where we don’t exactly get winter (or other seasons for that matter). So we primarily use 20W50 for motor oil here. The Redline full synthetic motor oil is our standard fill for all our street cars and race cars. 5 quarts does an oil change. 6 quarts gets you an extra quart if you are tracking the car or using a bit between oil changes.
- Popular in turbocharged applications
- For wider bearing clearances and racing engines that see occasional street use
- 25% more viscosity than petroleum 20W-50s.
- Not recommended for use in cold climates (-20°C/-5°F for 20W50)
- Recommended for API SN/SM/SL/SJ/SH/SG and ACEA A3

Redline MT85 Synthetic Transmission Fluid
In the olden days Redline only had MT90 and MTL available. MT90 is kind of thick for the Mitsubishi EVO and cold shifting was balky at times, MTL was a too little thin for the best protection but shifted well. Both have the correct additives for the synchros to work their best. So people would mix MT90 and MTL, Or they would mix MT90 and BG Synchroshift (the “Scot Grey Mix”) Redline saw all this going on and just came out with MT85 specifically for the Mitsubishi EVO transmission. 3 quarts is what you need to change the EVO transmission fluid. Either for maintenance or when doing a clutch change. It will give you a bit left over.
- Safe for brass synchros, as it lacks the reactive sulfurs found in most GL-5 oils that cause damage
- Offers quicker shifts, perfect synchronizer coefficient of friction
- Eliminates notchy shifting, even when cold
- High performance gear protection and longer synchro life
- Recommended for GL-1, GL-3 and GL-4 applications as well as where most special synchromesh fluids are specified
- Satisfies the gear oil viscosity requirements of 75W, 80W, 85W and motor oil viscosities of SAE 30 and 5W30

Redline 75W90 Synthetic Gear Oil
This is the preferred gear oil for the transfer case and the rear differential on the EVO X. It has the correct limited slip additive for the clutch plates in the rear differential. 2 quarts will give you enough to change both the transfer case and rear diff. Buy just one quart if you are doing a clutch and need to do the transfer case only.
- Most popular Red Line gear oil, with thousands of applications for passenger cars, light trucks, and racing vehicles
- Contains additional friction modifiers for suitability with clutch-type limited slip differentials – for most LSDs, no additional friction modifiers are required
- This product is not designed for use in most manual transmissions or transaxles in passenger vehicles, since the extreme slipperiness may cause synchronizer mesh issues that lead to shifting problems
- Recommended for API GL-5, GL-6, MT-1, MIL-L-2105E, SAE J2360, and Chrysler spec MS-9763

StopTech Racing Brake Fluid
Available in STR-600 and STR-660 formulations for high performance street and racing applications. StopTech High Performance Brake Fluid is a DOT 4 motor vehicle brake fluid, engineered to optimize brake system performance at high operating temperatures. In addition to guarding against boiling and subsequent loss of efficiency at severe racing temperatures, StopTech Brake Fluid maintains its excellent viscosity, lubricity and non-compressibility.
StopTech Brake Fluid comes bottled in a special metal container that is not only more durable, but also gives the fluid up to 25 percent longer shelf life than typical plastic bottles provide. It is also mixable with all DOT 3 and 4 products.
Stoptech STR-600 is our default fill fluid for all service operations in the shop for street cars and track day cars. Our dedicated race cars use the more expensive STR-660 fluid. If you are driving hard enough to turn your stock calipers maroon, then use the STR-660. If you are turning your calipers brown or black, then it is time for a StopTech Big Brake Kit!
StopTech STR-600 High Performance Street Brake Fluid
- Typical Dry Boiling Point: 594°F (312°C)
- Typical Wet Boiling Point: 404°F (206°C)
- Minimum Wet Boiling Point: 383°F (195°C)
- 500mL metal container gives fluid a 25% longer shelf life
StopTech STR-660 Ultra Performance Race Brake Fluid
- Typical Dry Boiling Point: 622°F (328°C)
- Typical Wet Boiling Point: 404°F (206°C)
- Minimum Wet Boiling Point: 383°F (195°C)

Additional Fluids
Redline Water Wetter
- Unique agent for cooling systems that doubles the wetting ability of water
- Rust and corrosion protection allows for use of straight water in racing or reduced antifreeze levels in warm climates
- Improves heat transfer and reduces cylinder head temperature
- May allow more spark advance for increase power and efficiency
- Use one bottle for most passenger cars and light trucks, treats 3 to 5 gallons or 13.2 to 15.9 liters. Vehicles with larger cooling systems should use two bottles. Small cooling systems should use 1oz (3 to 4 capfuls) per quart
- Compatible with new or used antifreeze (including DEX-COOLTM and long-life versions) to improve the heat transfer of ethylene and propylene glycol systems
