Jeff Denmeade X RRE

I love Australia.  My mom, dad and I have this fantasy of moving there someday.  The funny thing is, I have never been to Australia.  I only know it from the pictures and the people I have met from there.  However, every single person I have met to date that is from Australia is amazingly cool.  Jeff Denmeade is no exception.

When Jeff was here for the Pike’s Peak hillclimb in 2010, he also took some time to make me pee pee in my pants at the Mitsubishi Superstores (kinda) annual auto-X extravaganza.  I held on to my hot dogs that day but I have to tell you, I have never driven with someone in a more pissed off manner in my life.  He bested the So. Cal drivers that were at the auto-x for the best time.  Jeff had just gotten back from kicking ass and winning at Pike’s Peak.  He was doing the auto-X on some weird wheels and used street tires that just happened to be laying around at the RRE shop before the event!  I am not sure if he hit his best time with my fat ass in the car but he drove in an unnatural manner that day.  X-Rays have shown that my stomach is now officially in my back on the wrong side of my spine.

Also, Jeff is the kind of guy that will take the time to email you back if you ask him questions.  He is a well respected tuner in Australia for this reason.  You can really tell when someone is in to something because they love it.  In Jeff’s case, his love for the sport is immediately obvious. I look forward to seeing him back in the US in 2012!!  This time, I will try to step in to get him to a proper restaurant before he hits the road and fills up with the dark side of American road cuisine!

For the 2012 season, it sounds like Jeff has something up his sleeve that is going to represent Australia BIG and shock a lot of people.  The car he is bringing over will blow minds no doubt!  I can’t wait to see it!!  Check out his blog for updates on the NEW project. http://www.meadesports.blogspot.com/

Here are a few really short videos of Jeff and his lovely co-driver Catherine Hammond at Pike’s Peak in 2010

I think it is pretty difficult to get good footage up here without a helicopter or a GoPro sponsorship.
