Who We Are!
Road/Race Engineering Inc. was founded in 1994 based on Road Racing, Pro Rally and well rounded street performance for vehicles using the 4G63 turbo motor and now the newer 4B11T. We also support customer cars in drag racing, time attack, Pro Rally and drifting. We continue to support the newer Eclipses especially the 4th Generation GT and GS.
New “EVO” shops and stores pop up monthly to practice their skills on you. Here at RRE, this has been our core business for over 15 years. We have been developing competition parts and vehicles while the other newbie EVO shop owners were still in high school. We had our first modded EVO in the shop in 1998 and have been piling on the experience daily since.
MMSA comes to us for project car development and you can too. We also assist and advise Cosworth, AEM, ACT and others with parts development and testing. We have multiple championships in Pro Rally and road racing in the United States and Mexico. Our multiple class wins at Pikes Peak also are a testament to our racing experience. What We Sell!
We stock what we sell. While others are relying on drop shipping and special orders, we strive to stock everything that we offer on the web site.
We don’t offer much in the way of disco parts. What we do keep in stock is high-performance, hard core race parts and general maintenance parts for your EVO and Eclipse.
We choose the most reliable and best value parts available. We are installing these parts on customer street cars and racing with them on our own competition cars. You can trust us to know what works best for what you are doing.
We offer a broad range of stealthy parts to keep you under the radar. Quiet exhaust systems that allow you to actually enjoy your ride while still making excellent power
AWD Dyno Tuning!
Pump gas, race gas, E-85… we are on the leading edge of extracting the most reliable HP. Map and boost switching, valet modes, alcohol injection and many other options available. We have the most experience tuning the new EVO X in California.
Our AWD Dynapack is a true load-brake dyno – just like the best engine dynos. Dynapack measures the work being performed, while others just estimate it. The Dynapack chassis dyno has real hydraulic load brakes that allow us to perform tests that simple inertia-dynos are incapable of, all while measuring up to 1600 AWHP. We have unprecedented control over the vehicle with a degree of resolution and precision that has to be seen to be believed. The direct drive system eliminates the problem of tire slippage and inconsistencies of the tire to roller interface.
What We Do!
We go racing! We prepare, race and support rally cars, road racing cars, time attack cars, drag cars and drift cars.
We fix EVOs and Eclipses! We run about 25 cars a week through the shop doing everything from basic service, timing belts and clutches, performance upgrades, custom fabrication work and more. If you can dream it we can build it!
We know EVOs and Eclipses! While we are the source for EVO and Eclipse knowledge in California, we never stop learning more about your car. Our mission is to give you a balanced vehicle that stops and turns as hard as it accelerates!
We do it right! We have a modern 6,400 sq/ft facility with 3 lifts, machine and fabrication equipment, secure parking and experienced DSM and EVO mechanics. We are equipped to flash tune the stock ECU and tune engine management systems such as the AEM EMS. We can road tune to save you some cash or dyno tune your car on our AWD Dynapack Dyno for less than you might think.
